Elon Musk intends to unblock the X platform
Elon Musk said that users of the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, will not be able to block people from seeing their posts or leaving comments.
The controversial decision drew criticism from some users, who said the ban feature allows them to remove those who "promote anger and hate".

The social media platform's owner said the feature "doesn't make sense", adding that it would only be possible to prevent people from sending direct messages.
After making this change to the app, users will now only be able to mute individuals, allowing someone to remove another account's posts from their timeline, without unfollowing or blocking them, and the user's posts remain visible to the blocked account.

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey suggested he agreed to remove the block option, saying, "100%, I agreed to just mute."
Currently, X's help center says that blocked accounts can't follow you or view your Tweets when you're logged in unless you report or mention you in your Tweets, and they can't search for your Tweets or send you Direct Messages.
Banned accounts also can't view your followers and lists, likes or following lists when you're logged in, tag you in a photo, add your account to their lists, or view a Moment you've created.
The removal of the blocking feature raises criticism among X platform users
